Nowadays, cell phones become more and more popular in students' lives. They can not only make calls but also surf the Internet by their cell phones. They expose themselves too much time to smartphones.
However, it seems that the greater function cell phone plays, the more time they spend on them, the less time they read books. Some students are spending quite a lot of time on using cell phones chatting, surfing and playing games. They become so addicted to phone that they don't learn more knowledge and therefore become dumb. We should know that it's unwise to spend too much time on cell phones and young students should focus on their study.
Yet it is not proved to be true that students are becoming less knowledgeable if they make good use of cell phone. Though they don't read traditional books, they can read some E-books via cell phones, which seems to be more convenient to carry. Besides, students can learn more about this world through phones rather than from books. What the teachers do is not just complain about it, they should instruct students to use cell phone properly and get knowledgeable instead.

Friends' conflicts among college students are often surfaced on campus over recent years. Study shows that these conflicts make the excitement of campus life grow grey. It is doomed to explore some of the causes and ways in which we can do to cope with this problem. It is often the case that many of these conflicts spring from such trivial things as the time when to turn off the light and space where to store their luggage or personal belongings. When personalities don't mix, the specifics can tear roommates apart and cause serious conflicts.
Besides, different attitudes towards certain issues may also lead to these conflicts. This arises from different cultural backgrounds, different life styles and different regions. Friends' conflicts are in such a serious stage that they need to be settled and taken actions about. Though many people think that school discipline can soften the conflicts, I believe learning to be tolerant with each other can play a more constructive role on account that it endows students with flexibility and the art of compromise. Meanwhile, communication contributes to the solution to this problem since many of these conflicts stem from misunderstanding.

Safety or Adventure? That's a Question.
With the improvement of people's livingstandards, more and more people have time and money for traveling. Usually, people will go to a traveling agency to apply for group tourism, which, of course, will be safe and well-planned. But some people are far from being satisfied with regular forms of traveling. They are seeking more exciting outings, like self-help tour, self-driving tour, camping, hiking, flying, watersports, mountaineering, rock climbing, wild exploration, skiing, desert crossing, BMX and some extreme sports. These kinds of outings are characterized by remoteness, unfamiliarity, adventure, extremity and lack of accidentinsurance, which, in many cases, will endanger the travelers. In turn, it involves great efforts of the public authorities to help and rescue them. Despite that, reports on injuries and deaths repeatedly appear in media.
It is strongly suggested to choose traditional forms of traveling organized by travel agencies. Those who insist on traveling adventurously are recommended to follow the tips below:
Firstly, purchase travel accident insurance. That's very important.
Secondly travel in groups, at least 4 people suggested.
Thirdly, keep in touch with your loved ones.
Fourthly, take along all the necessities, like first ad supplies, maps, compasses, head lamps, whistles, etc.
Enjoy your trip! Remember, safety is the foremost!

Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about the purpose that university education serves. However, whether they should mainly provide job-related skills or overall development education to graduates has caused a heated debate. My view is that practical skills should be the main focus of universities.
In the first place, it is clear that formost students, the purpose of receiving university education is to obtain specific knowledge and skills, which will enable them to become qualified employees in the future job market. This is because most of them, aftergraduation, will enter workplace, earn their living, and raise their own families. So universities, as service providers, have to give top priority tothese customers' real needs.
Moreover, focusing on the job-related skills can benefit the university itself. For example, the science fiction block buster Avatar has marked a milestone in the filmmaking industry and sparked massive interest in 3D technology. If an university can quickly respond, and consolidate teaching resources to offer courses regarding 3D, not only will its graduates be more competitive in the near future, but the university itself will keep pace with the modern technological development and move forward.
In sum, the major function of universities should be providing students job-related skills, guaranteeing high rate of employment, and thus making the society function well. Meanwhile, we should not ignore the othe important roles universities are undertaking. Only by doing so can universities maintain dynamic and sustainable development.
